MIXED MEDIA: SILVER GELATIN PRINTS, ELECTRICAL COMPANENTS, WOOD

 

This series of 16 boxes was an examination into the personal attachments formed to particular locations. Various people were selected to share their experiences and allow their memories to be captured and presented for display. Viewing each scene through the lens, provides the viewer with a glimpse into that personal and emotional moment. The pull at the bottom of the box gives the viewer the opportunity to understand and share in the significance of each location. They are left with their own associations and that of others. Each location becomes more than a backyard or an abandoned winter road, they become places of life, memory and personal history that all can appreciate and hopefully, respect.
